Oscar de la Renta winter ball gown
|
£490 / Item Ref.# 30233
A grand ball gown by Oscar de la Renta, dating to the last decade.
Fashioned from a most luxurious and thick, padded / brocatelle-like
emerald silk with a look of fine quilting. Whilst the bodice area
comprises of golden & silver lamé style lace.
The surface decoration is superb! Featuring hand applied black
chording, which is comprised of fine black threads wrapped tightly
together. This design is also mocked in the skirt's hemline but done in a
ribbed silk.
Notice the black chording at the bodice extends beautifully across
the bossom area, tastefully adding shaping. Figure-flattering due to it's
wide, ruched fuschia satin waist sash, and also with the added help
of some small interior shoulder pads.
It's interior construction is an added marvel! Finely constructed
with a black silk taffeta lining, and arrays of petticoats to give the
gown it's perfect shape. The bodice area is unlined, whilst the skirt is
heavily lined and backed. It fastens at the back with a concealed zipper
and some hook and eyes. Labelled Oscar de la Renta / Made in USA. The gown
if bought new, would have retailed for appx. between $5-6K.
Measurements: Bust 36", Waist 28."
The condition is
Excellent. |
