Dazzling, crystal beaded party dress, dating to the late-1920's. Fashioned from sheer black gauze/muslin, and smuthered in radiating arrays of hand beadwork. The marvelous beading is a true artful treasure within itself!

 

Each crystal bead captures and beams with light, thus the beaded pattern glows when amongst lighting- a stunning effect! There are, in total, thousands of micro-beads, all of which have been hand applied.

 

It's unlined, so therefore the wearer will be able to select a choice of slip (possibly a vivid coloured example would showcase the beadwork wonderfully). Each 1920's dress, such as this, is an absolute work of textile art and skilled handwork, with it's magical ability to simply be displayed, and cause all eyes to surrender in awe!

The condition is Excellent- there is of course minor bead loss (it would be impractical to expect any beaded garment of any age to have all beads intact), though 99% of the beads are all intact. Only one imparticular trait is worth a mention, and that is at the back of the dress near the hem, there is a small section between the 'cascades' where there are not any beads at all, thus since there isn't a scattering of them in this area, it could possibly have never been beaded, and also isn't an eye catching defect, instead blends in. The gauze is strong and shows no signs of weaking. It's a rarity to find fully beaded textiles such as this, in as excellent of condition.
